Video of horror-writer Jeffrey L. Shipley’s talk

This is video of Annapolis MWA talk by Jeffrey L. Shipley on Wednesday 2012-10-17.

Jeff Shipley of gave a great talk at the October 2012 meeting of the Annapolis Maryland Writers Association. He publishes Tales of Blood and Roses, a horror magazine. Websites he talked about were
all of which he created. Jeff also discussed the site
which is a a resource for writers that offers an extensive, searchable database of current fiction, poetry, and non-fiction markets, a calendar of upcoming deadlines, submissions trackers, etc.

Sorry about the bad focus on the more distant camera. Most of the video is using the closer camera (in sharp focus) but I obviously need practice on using the other camera. Hope it isn’t too distracting.

Annapolis MWA November 2012 meeting

The November meeting will be at a different date than usual. Usually, we meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month. However, the November meeting will be on the 3rd Thursday of the month. That will be November 15th. Same time (6:30pm) and same place (Maryland Hall for the Arts, in room 205).

Unfortunately, we do not have a speaker yet lined up for November. It may be “open mike” where each member present briefly describes what they are doing, writing-wise. More details on this to follow.
